Well, we just couldn't not see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. So we ventured out under the hot afternoon sun to join the hordes of tourists to help hold up this falling structure!
Leaning....
Holding...
Propping...
Poor Daddy had to endure the burning heat to get just the right shot!
The Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) is where the three structures which symbolise the main stages of a human's life stand - the Baptistry which represents birth, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, life and Campo Santo, the cemetary which alludes to death.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is actually a part of the Cathedral as it was built to be its bell tower.
Inside the Cathedral
Walking along the halls of the "holy field", the cemetery. It is said that the soil here was brought back from Colgotha, where Christ was crusified, during the Crusades.
Some of the few remaining Roman sarcophagi
And finally a less touristy, more IG-worthy shot!
