Pinocchio land

After all the churches, museums, clock towers, and all things ancient, we thought we'd give the kids a break and take them somewhere a little more kid friendly. A visit to the home of Pinocchio sounded like a good idea...well, maybe not. We drove around two hours to get to Collodi, where the author of Pinocchio came from. Unfortunately there wasn't really a whole lot to see here. The main attraction was the Il Parco di Pinocchio a Collodi, an amusement theme park. After having a quick peek inside, we decided to give it a miss. Think the monkeys would have lasted at most around 15 minutes in there and then asked to leave! And the tickets weren't exactly cheap either. So a quick walk around town and it was bye bye, time to head home to the pool.

Pinocchios everywhere!
